Shoptalk 2018 ran from Sunday, March 18 through Wednesday, March 21 in Las Vegas. Organizers say they combined their U.S. and European events, turning the Las Vegas show into a global event. As if it wasn’t vast enough before!
The roster of renowned keynote speakers, among them CEOs from some of the largest retailers, was unending, including Macy’s Jeff Gennette, Target’s Brian Cornell, Shipt’s Bill Smith, Ulta Beauty’s Mary Dillon, Pinterest’s Ben Silbermann and FreshDirect’s Jason Ackerman.
Shoptalk 2018 topics ranged from legacy to AI
The keynote topics drew from the past and speculated on the future. The last day closed with a session on how artificial intelligence will change “the way we shop and sell,” which featured eBay Chief Scientist, AI, Jan Pedersen. Another focused on legacy retailers “Thriving in an Omni Channel World’ with Ascena Retail Group CEO David Jaffe.
As usual, this event was jam-packed with information, from these top keynotes to the smaller sessions that covered topics all over the retail map, including customer experience, chatbots and e-commerce. Our Global Response team walked the floor at Shoptalk, taking in all they could as well as looking to meet and exchange ideas with their fellow attendees. We hope we had the chance to meet you there.
And hope you enjoyed the show!
