New call center client is a top tourist destination; runs train excursions
Global Response, The Brand Call Centers, announced the signing of its new client, Strasburg Rail Road, a top tourist destination in Pennsylvania. The railroad company restores historic steam locomotives and wooden train cars that take tourist excursions through Amish country. Global Response will provide contact center services including customer service, information, bookings and will respond to gate malfunction reports.
“Strasburg Rail Road takes pride in creating an experience our passengers will always remember. Global Response is the perfect fit to serve them with customer service and bookings – and to provide an equally memorable customer experience,” said Steve Barrall, Stationmaster of Strasburg Rail Road.
Wendy Shooster, Co-CEO of Global Response, welcomed the railroad company. “We’re very excited about our partnership with Strasburg Rail Road and look forward to a long, productive relationship.”
The short-line Strasburg Rail Road, America’s oldest continuously operating railroad, was chartered in 1832 for passenger and freight service. It has operated tourist excursions in Lancaster County, Pa., since 1958, and today includes theme excursions such as The Great Train Robbery, murder mysteries and Christmas trains. Strasburg Rail Road has five working steam engines, including one restored to resemble Thomas the Tank Engine of children’s book fame, and 20 operating rail cars. It attracts about 300,000 passengers annually.
