Shoptalk created excitement ahead of its second conference

Shoptalk, the nextgen commerce event, made a big splash with its debut on the trade show circuit last year and projected more than 5,000 attendees at its Las Vegas event just held March 19 to 22.

Our Global Response team attended Shoptalk 2017 and we were excited to make new contacts as well as learn from the speakers.

Evolution of consumer discovery, shopping and buying

The conference bills itself as the “new blockbuster retail and e-commerce event.” “It covers the rapid evolution of how consumers discover, shop and buy – from new technologies and business models to changes in consumer preferences and expectations,” according to Shoptalk’s own description.

Its attendees cover the gamut of businesses – from startups to established retailers and brands, from tech companies to investors, as well as media and analysts, according to the conference.

Conference featured well-known retailers

Shoptalk’s agenda was packed with big-name retailers as well as up-and-comers. Names like Mindy Grossman, CEO and director of HSN Inc.; Michael G. Relich, chief operating officer of Crate&Barrel; Nick Taranto, co-founder of Plated; Mary Lou Kelley, president of Best Buy; and Marc Lore, CEO and president of Walmart Ecommerce US.

The formal keynotes and sessions took up topics including Enabling Commerce Everywhere; Emerging Technologies Transforming Retail and E-commerce; Mobile Marketing and Engagement; Customer Service and Post-Purchase Engagement; and Omnichannel Customer Experience.
