From January 13th – 15th, NRF 2019: Retail’s Big Show brings to New York City more than 37,000 attendees from nearly 100 countries. The three-day conference is a fantastic opportunity for businesses seeking to expand partnership with best-in-class brands, and learn how to remain relevant in the dynamic world of retail.
This year’s speakers, some of the world’s leaders in retail, business and technology, share valuable insight and business strategies to create impact on people, community and economy through a culture of collaboration, adaptation and innovation that follows global consumer trends. “Retail is a dynamic industry, with a far-reaching impact on the global economy and the lives of citizens around the world,” NRF President and CEO Matthew Shay said.
CX Impact | The age of experience economy: rewriting the rules of engagement
The overarching theme of this year’s conference is impact. Presentations, blogs, and workshops will be focused on how brands are impacting the world around them purposefully, socially, operationally and, of course, in CX. The industry has come to recognize Customer Experience as the most important metric to focus on if they want to stand out and grow in today’s competitive business atmosphere. As an industry leader, Global Response has partnered with some of the most established brands in the world to create differentiating customer experiences through continuous purposeful innovation.
Here are three of the keynotes we will be watching out for this year:
Sunday, 1/13/19 @ 8:45am
- Consumer consciousness: Strategies for relentless focus on the customer: Be there early to hear Jamie Nordstrom, president of Nordstrom Stores, as he opens the conference speaking about industry-leading innovation that serves customers no matter how they choose to shop.
Monday, 1/14/19 @ 4pm
- Beyond the buzz: State of retail 2019: Scott Galloway, Founder of L2 Inc. and professor at the NYU Stern School of Business will take the main stage to preview of the state of retail and ecommerce in 2019, and what the growing supremacy of Big Tech’s power players means for everyone else. Following the presentation, Scott will be joined on stage by Forerunner Ventures’ founder and Managing Partner, Kirsten Green, in a “Winners and Losers” style conversation about the biggest trends and challenges impacting organizations and retailers going into 2019.
Tuesday, 1/15/19 @ 3:45pm
- Brand builders: Balancing business and creativity to make a cultural connection: Through two successive fire-side chats, the audience will have the chance to hear from some prominent brand builders in the entertainment industry. First, Scooter Braun, founder of SB Projects, will story-tell his rise to entertainment mogul from his early entrepreneurial discovery and pursuit of Justin Bieber to developing a multi-faceted media empire. Second, Chip and Joanna Gaines will discuss their unexpected launch into reality TV prominence, their strategies for connecting with today’s shoppers, the challenges and successes of new product collaborations with retail partners, brand-extending restaurant openings and book tours, and initial plans to launch their own TV channel, all while building a coveted, sustainability-focused culture inside Magnolia.
